Thanks to the efforts of non-profit organization Peace One Day and its founder Jeremy Gilley, the UN has declared September 21st the International Peace Day.
Peace One Day has not only established a globally-recognized Day of Peace, but created ceasefires, allowing children to receive vaccinations, civilians to rebuild their homes, doctors to help the wounded - and save thousands of lives on September 21 each year.
